DO YOU HAVE A "FANCY CAMERA"...

but are clueless to use it? Maybe you would like to take better photographs of your children. Or perhaps you are interested in understanding what all those buttons and settings on your camera do, or what lens to purchase next and why. Our DSLR Family Photography Workshop is a beginner, one-day workshop just for you!

We will spend the day together as a small group of aspiring photographers learning together. The day will include hands on learning, loads of information and examples and, of course, lots of shooting together. Plus, all the Q&A you can think to ask!

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Our DSLR Family Photography Workshop for beginners is limited to 10 attendees. A small group gathered in a cozy setting, chatting and learning together. We will gather at 9 am sharp and conclude by 2:30 pm. During that time, we will cover a tremendous amount of material designed to teach you everything you need to know to take your camera off AUTO and start taking the photos you envision.

WHAT WE’LL COVER:

Camera Types

Camera Functions (what all those dials mean!)

Memory Cards and Storage

Lenses

Exposure : ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed (AKA: getting OFF of AUTO)

White Balance

Using Your Light Meter

The basics of light

WHAT TO BRING:

\Bring your camera (DSLR) and your manual. If you have more than one lens, we recommend bringing a prime lens (ie. 50mm). If you don't know what that means, or aren't sure of what you have or what to bring, no problem. Shoot us a message and we will figure it out together.

Don't forget a fully charged battery and an empty memory card

WE WILL PROVIDE

We'll provide everything else. Tons of information, a workbook (so you don't have to worry about forgetting anything!), models for hands-on shooting practice, and LUNCH!

Participants also receive a personal 20 minute phone q&a  with Rebecca or Jenna 2-4 weeks after the workshop to follow up and answer any remaining questions you have.
